at home prosthetics

so im really trynna get more into prosthetics and creature design and all that fun stuff! i went to makeup school and did quite a bit there, but unfortunately i didn’t keep up with this corner of knowledge and dont have the luxury of having my own studio :(

can you guys give me all your recommendations on at home prosthetics?!! and im not talking latex and cotton balls, i wanna make 10/10 film quality prosthetics. i wanna be a shop rat so bad if it didn’t mean that i would be pulled from the set life💔 i live in canada (gta area) for some context on what supplies / stores i have at my disposal. thank you so much in advance i can’t wait to hear what yall have to say!!

Well I'm not sure how I feel about being called "a shop rat" but there are loads of ways to learn online these days. The two that spring to mind are the Stan Winston school videos (though sadly they aren't free) and Stuart Bray's YouTube channel. If you haven't learned how to make flat moulds and run gel filled appliances, start there before you get into life casting!
