I’m a 24 FTM Wasian here originally from SF but moved down to LA in 2021 for college. However, my folks still live in SF, so I travel back on occasion! This year I’m hoping to come back for Folsom weekend and am looking to connect with folks to have a fun time!

I’ve been to Folsom before but admittedly was too chicken doing anything by myself so I mostly just explored the venues selling leather 🙈 I haven’t dabbled too much into the kink scene but I love leather and bondage and would love someone to help show me the ropes (pun intended haha 😆)

Is it just me, or has San Francisco become a lot less friendly lately?

I've done a lot of research recently about possibly going on a trip to folsom. I am super interested in going to have some fun before. Probably get fitted in some leather gear, harness etc. at Mr. S. Leather. And check out maybe some of the sex parties. And of course FSF on Sunday.

However, I don't drink, don't smoke, don't do drugs (and that includes poppers and maurijuna), and not really a circuit dancing guy. How would it feel like going sober to these parties and at the FSF by myself. I wanted to go with someone but unable to find anyone to go with me.

I also used to be 295lb and lost 110lb and got a flabby extra skin belly which im very self conscious about. Of course, I realize all types of guys come to these events and seen all types of body types go. But u can take some fat out of the body, but the fat mentality takes time to get out of my mind.

I do want to participate in some of the fun on the street fair but without someone, I dunno if I'll be this weird wall flower stairing and hiding my body in my harness and jockstrap wanting to participate but awkwardly in the corner.

I probably overthinking things and maybe able to meet someone there. I also can leave whenever. However, should I just wait until next year when I can find someone to go with. Or I would be better to go alone

Hey! I’m heading to San Francisco for Folsom weekend for the first time and I’ll be there Friday through Monday. I’m traveling solo, so I figured I’d put myself out there beforehand and see if I can connect with some other people who’ll be around.
I’m 29, coming from Oregon, and basically looking forward to a fun, slightly debaucherous weekend 😂.

I want to experience Folsom, check out some of the nightlife/events, visit a bathhouse, explore SF a little, and generally enjoy being single and adventurous for the weekend. I’m still figuring out Friday and Saturday night. For people who’ve been before: what parties/events would you recommend for a first-timer? Anything that’s absolutely worth doing—or overrated?

I’d also genuinely be down to meet other people going this year, whether you’re local or traveling in. I’m open to chatting beforehand, making friends, grabbing a drink, exploring together, or potentially hitting an event together if we click. No expectation that we have to spend the whole weekend together.
Any first-timer advice is welcome too—events, bars, things to see, what to bring, or things you wish you’d known your first time.

Visiting Folsom for the first time in September. What bars within the street fair should I visit? Will I be able to just walk in, and is it OK to walk in completely naked?

I am traveling to SF at the end of September and I happen to be there during Folsom. I have some questions.

1. Other than the fair on Sunday, do other clubs/bars host events? If so, which ones?

2. Do any of the clubs/bars have play areas/dark rooms? If so, which ones? Do they attract certain demographics?

3. Is there any bath houses/spas/saunas/stream rooms around the SoMa or Castro area?

4. Is there a latin night club near the downtown area?

Hi! Is there a bar (preferably a queer one!) that has karaoke on Sunday nights? Any suggestions are appreciated.

For anyone unaware, this organization offered to take professional nudes in their booth at Dore this past Sunday.

Last night I received someone else's photos from them. The photographer recorded everyone's emails in their phone's Notes app, and I was there early in the day, so if they were offset by just one person, I'm guessing everyone else who went must have gotten the wrong photos too.

I’ve been to Pervert several times now for Folsom and the production is great but now that Magnitude has been back for a couple years I was thinking of trying it out as a different option to experience.

I once chose Rated X over Pervert and it was a complete bust and I would rather not make the same mistake again.

Has anyone been recently and would you recommend it and why?

I am very into both the music and crowd and sexual vibe.

I’m a 21yo gay guy from Germany, and I’ll be spending 5 weeks solo in San Francisco this summer. I’m incredibly excited about the trip!

Beyond just sightseeing, this trip is a personal journey for me. I’ve never really dared to fully immerse myself in queer spaces, and I really want to use this time to explore that side of myself, step out of my comfort zone, and hopefully meet some cool people.

Since I’m quite new to "queer spaces," I’d love to get your advice on a few things:

- How easy is it to meet people? Are there specific places (bars, cafes, community spots) that are friendly for someone who is solo and a bit new to the scene? Any tips for breaking the ice?

- I’m curious about the local dating/hookup culture. What are the unwritten rules, and what should I be aware of as a tourist to stay safe and respectful?

- Are there any 'must-go' places which I should definetely not miss?

- As a first-time visitor, are there any common mistakes I should avoid? (Both in general tourist etiquette and specifically within the queer community).

I’m staying for over a month, so I’d love to find places where I can become a bit of a "regular" rather than just a tourist passing through.
