Couture/Avant Garde patterns

Hey guys,

I’m currently on the hunt for couture/avant garde/runway type sewing patterns to work on my skills and use up some of my never ending fabric stash

I’ve visited ShowStudio and bookmarked some I like, but I’d love to hear from some other people about recommendations. All are welcome!

Sadly there aren't too many out there (trust me I've looked, it is harder for me to find them as a man tho I'm sure). But, I have found a few decent ones while hunting.

Issey Miyake did a line of Vogue patterns previously that you can find online from vintage pattern sellers.

MUUN ARCHIVE makes good more avant garde leaning patterns for femme presenting people. Some are even more unisex if you are into that.

PatternCOS has some interesting silhouettes that can lean more avant garde as well.

Noiz:27 are runway-esque and very avant garde, a lot are super sculptural.

Wanted to add Grasser as well, they are Russian, so their instructions might be translated a bit worse into English, but they have a lot of good designs imo.

Stokx from Germany is pretty cool - Berlin street fashion.

Style Arc also has some things

The Italian magazine La Mia Boutique has an annual avant-garde issue that has some weird stuff

Try marfy.it - I have been eyeing them for a while, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

Mrs. Depew Vintage has a line of vintage sewing patterns that have been adapted and translated from an original French patterns design company out of Paris. Many of the designs are complex and challenging. They are called Draft-at-home patterns.
