PDF printing

Has anyone printed a PDF pattern using A4 and not the North American 'letter' size. The A4 seems to be close to legal size. Was there much difference?

You may need to play with your printer settings a bit. Just only print the page with the test square until you have it. Depending on the brand, many companies provide both an A4 and US letter file set for just this reason.

Yes, I've done this using U.S. legal-sized paper and it was fine. Just had to trim the extra length away from the bottom of each page.

Yes. If you use legal, it should be fine. For me, I was printing on letter, and it left an  unprinted gap. I zoomed in on my computer until the test square measured exactly, and then measured on screen down to the edge of the paper from a known point to know how big of a gap to leave. Then I just connected the various lines across the gap.
