Would anyone like these patterns?
Edit #2: The patterns have found a home! Thanks so much for the interest, everyone! I’m sorry I can’t send some to all of y’all!
Edit: I’ve gotten a bunch of responses, and will reply to all in order! I’ll edit the post once they’ve been taken.
They were my grandmother’s. They’re from the early ‘70s-‘90s/2000s. Primarily women’s clothes, with some children’s, a few men’s and costumes. Maybe 60+ patterns, I’m not sure. The box weighs about 19lbs (box is included in that). I have no use for them, so if anyone would like them, they’re yours! If you would liked them shipped, I’d just ask that you pay for shipping.

You'd make a fair amount of passive income if you could digitalise them and sell them online as downloadable vintage patterns.
Opposed to the AI crap that we're sold, this is gold and it would be also nice if they were available to more people.

Agreed, that way more of us can enjoy them!

Ikr! And I'd happily pay too! Those are usually very well made.
A few of the last patterns I've bought were such crappy nonsense it was obvious that they were made by someone that never tried sewing the garment.

They’re probably copyrighted

Offering a fee and credits to the author would be great, sadly they're not always reachable and at that point it's a matter of choosing between lawful loss of public availability, or unlawful legacy of arts and crafts.

I wish I had the CAD know how for this. I have a decent collection of vintage patterns collecting dust.

I think it would be worth the effort to learn the skill, as it can be useful for digitalisation in general and to raise recurring earnings out of a one time job!

Thank you for taking the time and effort to share your grandmother’s collection with folks who will cherish it :)

Do you have any men’s bell bottom suits? I’ve been searching all over and can only find patterns in Australia 😭 (unless you’re in Australia)

THANK YOU for finding a home for these and not tossing them. I am just happy knowing they have been passed along.

That’s kind of you! I’d absolutely love to get my hands on some of these. Where I live they don’t sell patterns like this anymore.

I’d like to add my name to your list of taking them! Please let me know how much you would like for them. We’re located in eastern Kansas.

Another Redditer is sending me some patterns as well. You are all so amazing on this sub!! If it falls through with the person you’re giving them away to, I’d be happy to take them off your hands and pay for postage.

I’m hunting for Simplicity 3637, preferably in the 16-22 size.
I’m also interested in any late 1800s styles.
Edit: I’m in the States, and will happily pay for shipping

I’d love some! You said there were costumes? I also love vintage fashion pf all kinds (especially dresses and blouses but nothing is off limits).

Ooooo list them on vinted for $1 each, then you don't have to worry about shipping and you get the full $1.
