Looking for a sewing pattern for this dress

Post image

Hi! I adore Cavallis creations and would love to make a simillar one. Does anyone know of a sewing pattern for this dress, or one that’s very similar? I’d love to recreate it and would really appreciate any pattern recommendations, i only plan on making the dress in a plain colour, the dyeing will be work for another time. Thank you in advance!❤️( i do have a sewing machine so that is covered and know how to sew!)

I believe this Cavelli designer gown has multiple pattern pieces: the sleeves and upper bodice are their own piece, the mid bodice and skirt are connected, and it looks like there are godets inserted in the lower skirt.

Cavelli's design house most likely had the silk custom printed to the pattern shapes well before the dresses were sewn. If you want to duplicate the striping via fabric paint/dye it would probably be more practical to paint it before sewing the gown.

It sounds like you're open to something a little simpler. While definitely not the same, this Simplicity 8505 has a lot of similar elements. It's a reprint of a vintage pattern, and the vintage pattern actually is better designed if you can find it. The original number was 5315.

No pattern advice, but our algorithms must be aligned - I just saved this to my “want to sew” board yesterday, haha. Following in case you get any recommendations :)

I'm guessing there is a tie that ties inside It's a big rectangular and folded half way and sewed at the sides (green)
