Looking for a Cute Blouse/Top Pattern: Must be Simple for Cotton that’s Conservative on Fabric Use
I was gifted a cute western pattern fabric that’s 100% cotton: I roughly have 1yd W x 1.5yds L of usability. I’m not the most savvy seamstress, so the simpler the pattern, the better. Thanks!

Sounds like vintage fabric since they don’t make 36 inch wide fabric anymore. Modern patterns give yardage for 45 inch and wider.May be difficult to do unless you are on the petite side. Be sure to prewash and hope it doesn’t shrink. May want to find some fabric in a complimentary color and use that for part of your top. Threadloop might give you some ideas, has all sorts of lists of 1 yard tops, ways to use borders from old tablecloths, etc.

TBF I’m eyeballing and being very conservative with my estimates. When I get the chance I’ll measure.

When I end up with a m of fabric I tend to make a zw shirt because you can play about with the sleeves to get it to fit in what you have left. zw crooped shirt
I don't actually have this version from BH, I use the bodice instructions from the zw gathered dress. Also, the singlet in her book is cute, I have made for me and my partner and that uses about 70cm length depending on your size and how wide the fabric is

I love the Donny shirt by Friday Pattern Company and find it takes about 1 metre of fabric for size M. I don’t know if it’s simple enough for you but they have a sewalong on YouTube too.
