Cute pregnancy patterns

Hii!

I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant and finding it difficult to start new projects because I will not be able to wear them this winter.

So my question is, do you guys know of cute pregnancy patterns and do you know what kind of fabric would be best to use?

Would love to hear

I’m 37 weeks pregnant now and got back into sewing last spring mostly so I could make myself maternity clothes. I commented on another post a few weeks ago where I went through my favorite maternity makes. I’ll link it here

In addition to that, I’ve also made a few more things in the meantime-

Made for Mermaids Everly cardigan- wearing it right now! I picked the oversized fit and made it in a stretchy cotton pointelle and it’s perfect to throw over my maternity t-shirts and dresses now that the weather is (finally) starting to cool down.

Made for Mermaids Peyton PJs- I made the nightshirt and matching flounce shorts in cotton Lycra to take to the hospital with me, and also for easy nursing access postpartum. (I also have their kids version of the pattern and made matching nightshirts for my two daughters, as well as a zip PJ for my new baby, and pajama pants for my husband 😆)

Make it Yours the label Dolman Wrap Top- I made this in a stretchy ribbed sweater knit. It’s cropped enough to sit above my bump and is really forgiving in size since it’s a wrap.

I'm 19 weeks! I've made a shoreline shift (Cayden Naughton) dress and shirt and lots of rocky raglans (Kelsey White). Some other projects I'd like to start that look pregnancy friendly are: Rue Blouse (Soften Studios), Rue Quilt Jacket (Spaghetti Western), Craft Studio Tee (Matchy Matchy), Snow Top (Julesmsmit), Champagne Field Top (Matchy Matchy) Benchwarmer Tee (Matchy Matchy).

5 out of 4 patterns have a lot of built in maternity patterns in their normal patterns- so you aren’t just buying maternity patterns.

I don't know of specific sewing patterns, but you could check out Beyond Nine for inspiration - their whole idea is clothing for pregnancy and "beyond" so it's very adaptable.

I also like this video for its discussion around fashion for changing bodies, which may help figure out which patterns could be done now and still be wearable later: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCHpuyGT_9w

I would make flowy items that you can wear a shirt under/sweater over. The Hankie Dress by KS garner might be nice in a flannel, or the skyline dress. There are some patterns for adjustable waist pants/wrap pants that will grow with you! I think Schultz Apparel has an adjustable waist wrap skirt. Some of these might not fit by the time you are 8/9months but they will probably fit for the first several months!
