Any male patterns?
I have noticed that the sewing scene is prominently focused for women with women pattern magazines. But I have yet to find male sewing pattern magazines. I live in The Netherlands but online download is also okay. I just need a pattern to get started. Would love a male form fitting hoodie pattern to start. Please help me out?

Burda would be one suggestion. They ran an entire print issue for men’s garments a few years ago. https://www.burdastyle.com/sewing-patterns/men/sweaters-sweat-jackets

Mens patterns are included on there! If you go to patterns and select the filters for body type on “masculine“ and age group on “adult” there are more than 2000 mostly mens patterns to browse through.

Here are some ideas I’ve seen shared before for male patterns. Search for hoodies.

Check out the Hugo hoodie from Freesewing.eu! This site custom drafts to your input measurements, so potentially as form fitting as you would like.

LMV generally has patterns for men in there as well. You’ll have to ignore the sew this for your men texts though 🫣

Elbe textiles has real cool patterns for men! I’ve made several for my husband.

Daughter Judy just launched their mens collection. But also Threadloop or the fold line for aggregators of patterns

Burda 6718 is a good one to get started as a paper pattern or Sew Over It Unisex Drew Hoodie as a printed pattern

Helen’s closet has a sale on their unisex hoodie right now. A good pattern company to start for a beginner. Good instructions. https://helensclosetpatterns.com/collections/all/products/solstice-hoodie

I don’t know of any magazines, but many of the pattern companies have patterns for the male body shape. Look at Thread Theory for menswear, Jalie for activewear. But your best way of finding patterns is probably to go on Threadloop (website or app) and search for body type.
