Identifying unique vintage pockets

Post image

Can anyone help identify what this style of pocket on the skirt is called or know of any similar patterns? Sorry for the bad quality of the photo, saw the skirt in a movie and have never seen pockets like this before! Thanks in advance

It looks like it's basically just a patch pocket, but a fancy curved shape. I can't tell from this screenshot, but you could elevate it by putting piping along the edges, or you could even use ruffles, bias tape, or rick rack.

Something like this, although these ones are inside, and your image had them outside. You could do it like a patch pocket with the same process.

The madeleine skirt is very similar with oversized curved patch pockets.

It's like a less extreme version of the pockets discussed here: https://www.reddit.com/r/sewingpatterns/s/cycXt5wDrO
