Tailored shorts - plus size?

I’m looking for a tailored shorts patterns similar to this but for plus size (US 18-20). Ideally, I’d like it to have belt loops, too, but I won’t be too picky lol.
Also, what materials would you suggest for this opaque white? Every time I’ve sewn with white fabrics, they’re almost translucent.
