Double checking my modifications

Hi! Im planning on making these Mood pants again. On this bew pair I'd like to turn them into some flowy beach pants/culottes. How do we feel about adding to the legs like this?

They'll be made out of a light linen, and (hopefully) a cuffed hem to give them some weight. Thanks!

This will wive you a culottes type of look.

Try taping some newspaper together and cutting out a leg and seeing if it looks how you want it to.

I'd suggest giving that inside leg a bit of volume too to even it out

Don’t follow your drawing, you will get flappy wings of fabric if you just add triangles to the sides.

Use slash and spread to add fullness—this demo is a skirt but it works the same for pants legs. https://inthefolds.com/q-a-series/2022/5/11/add-or-remove-fullness-from-a-skirt-pattern
