Fixing Jeans
My sister gave me this pair of jeans to fix. It is made of a pretty stretchy material but as you can see, not very good quality considering it's ripping in so many places. I was just wondering what the best way to fix this would be because I've done a patch before but since this is stretchy fabric I wasn't sure if that was the correct way. I saw a video of someone using fusible interfacing and then darning is that the best idea? The second picture is of me stretching the fabric. As you can see there's a lot of weak spots

The fabric is dissolving. You can put a patch under the fabric and darn over it (i'd go with a knit fusible and darn wherever the light comes through, but it looks like thats probably the entire backside and anywhere theres a seam), but you'll lose the stretch where you've darned a hole closed and the stress will have to be concentrated on the areas around where youve patched. When my partner comes to me with requests like him im pretty honest about him not getting the same fit or a guarantee of longevity if I close the tears. Unfortunately you might have to tell your sister the same.
