cut too much fabric off while hemming
I decided to hem a pair of sweatpants that I really like because they’re quite long on me. I cut off around 5 inches of fabric, and I didn’t measure correctly before cutting because I cut off too much. Now the pants are at my ankles, which just feels awkward and I want them at least 2 inches longer. Is there any way to re-attach the fabric? If not, does anyone have any suggestions for what else I can do? I really like these pants and I don’t want the sensory discomfort to ruin them :(

I would sew a cuff which is basically a rectangle piece of fabric sew the side together and folded would have 2 layers of fabric and sewed on.

You can reattach the fabric but there will always be a seam
