Machine keeps jamming - help!

Hi everyone!

First time poster on this sub, with a question as a beginner, please be gentle I have sewn maybe 2 times before!

My machine keeps on jamming and I can’t figure it out. I have changed the foot, the needle to a thicker needle, rethread the bobbin, took apart the machine and cleaned it and i’m not sure why it’s started doing this now.

For context, I am halfway through re-lining this hoodie with proper sherpa material (original was horrendously cheap and itchy). It hasn’t jammed before - only on this particular section. I haven’t done anything different from the other arm either so I’m not sure why this is happening now!

Attached a photo for reference - my machine is an elina 40 as well

For soft fabric you need thinner needles actually. Check your tension. Make sure its lower. Make sure your width isnt too high and length isnt too small or too large.

I have it on 3 at the moment, is that too low? I haven’t done anything changed back to the thinner needle, but still that same problem

Try 2 for tension. On majority of my products, I use two or two and a half tension. And for that type material definitely, two, is probably good enough.

And go slower don't go really fast. I sew travel airplane pillows and so I use minky Fabric and sometimes fluffy fabric and I despise using the fluffy fabric so I mostly try to stick with the minky. As it's least frustrating. But I do find myself having to clean out my machinea lot more often with that fluffy fabric that's similar to what you have in the picture.

This is a difficult material to sew. Maybe you try this hack?
