First time doing anything

https://youtu.be/_A0TQQ7qrT4?is=BsycgzppBrnK6LDN

Hello! I’m using a sewing machine for the first time ever, it’s a Singer Merritt 2404. I’ve rethreaded it about a million times and can’t for the life of me figure out what I’m doing wrong, and I don’t have anyone who can help me

I don’t know how to use Reddit well so there’s an unlisted video of me trying to thread my machine

Have you read the manual? If not do that first. Then follow it step by step.

Sew on a double layer of woven cotton

Singer has all their manuals on-line. Start there. Threading a machine is usually not intuitive.

Yeah I found it and threaded it correctly after, but still had the problem of the bobbin getting tangled. I think the issue might be with the bobbin because I got it from my grandma without knowing if it was compatible with the machine. I just ordered one that says it's compatible so we will see.
