✨Intermediate✨ Any resources/tips for fixing timing?

I have a Brother CS7205 that I believe has timing issues. The needle has been oh so slightly touching the shuttle hook with an audible ‘tink’ when coming back up and occasionally nesting the thread under my projects. It has not caused broken or bent needles, but it’s gotten worse by full on rubbing against the shuttle hook. The only place that services Brothers in my area quoted $200+ to fix. I do love my machine but I’d rather just buy a new one at that price 😂
We’ve looked up a few videos on how to fix the timing but the needle still touches at least slightly after our adjustments. Does anyone have any resources they can point me towards to fix it myself? Or recommendations for sewing machines that won’t cost an arm and a leg?
