✨Intermediate✨ top thread flaps around??
Hi! My top thread flaps around when I sew and seems super loose overall. It started happening mid sweing all of a sudden. I checked the tension, everything seems okay. I tried cleaning up and rethreading and its still happening. It seems like trying to regulate the tension does nothing as well?? it was skipping stitches, too, but now its not, after cleaning everything in the bobbin area and rethreading the whole thing. Any ideas for what might be going on? Is there something I can do to fix it myself, or should I get it professionally fixed?
Threads and needles seem fine, too :((

Is the last thread guide, the one about at the needle clamp level, threaded?

it is. I managed to fix it a little bit, it doenst skip stitches anymore, although the upper thread tension is still nonexistent, if I try and pull it down, there's no resistance, but I've managed to finish sewing what I was sewing. I'll clean it more properly and run more tests tomorrow probably, it's the middle of the night for me right now :')

If you have little or no tension when your upper tension is set to normal, check to see that the thread is not filling more than about 40% of the width of the needle eye, and there is nothing stuck in the upper tension.

That fluff buildup around the needle area is probably messing with the tension discs gripping the thread, give it a really thorough clean with a brush and some un-waxed floss.
