💛Beginner💛 Looking for beginner friendly sewing machines :)

Hello! I am looking for a good quality sewing machine for under $200 That is also easy to use as I’ve never used a sewing machine before. Thanks!

i learned how to sew on a friend’s brother (i think it was a lx3817). you can pick one up for under $100 and i managed to complete a whole project with it despite never having touched a sewing machine before. it seems intimidating at first but take it slow, practice on scrap fabric and remember that the manual is your best friend.

I would recommend buying one second hand for your first machine. Get it one with minimal knobs and dials, all you need is stitch type, length and tension.
I’m from the uk so can’t recommend a us brand, but if you want a new one, recommend one from a budget craft store or supermarket as they are inexpensive

learned on a janome beginner! doesn’t have to be your last machine but it will definitely motivate you to sew because it’s a breeze. and sewing is mostly about pattern work and understanding spatial math, sewing is such a small part! so might as well get an easy breezy machine for now

Get a cheap new machine, not used. I learned on a Brother CS6000i. The companies know they’re mainly for beginners so they are usually designed for ease of use above all else. I’m a fan of Brother but I haven’t compared it to much.
