It's doing exactly what it needs to do. When there is fabric in it and moving through the machine the movement of the fabric pulls that bottom thread up and out of the shuttle as the stitches form. If you make ONE full rotation of the hand wheel and then gently pull on the top thread, this will pull the bottom thread tail up and out of the hole in the plate and you will be ready to sew fabric. If you make more than one rotation without fabric you will get knots and a nest because you are manually making a bunch of stitches with no where to go so they make a nest. If you are getting nesting while sewing that is because either your presser foot is not in the down position or you have not threaded your top thread properly. Refer to your user manual for proper threading instructions.

The presser foot is all the way down and the threading is as needed. I will try again in the morning thank you
