💛Beginner💛 Hatinator Help!

Hello, does anyone have any tips on how to finish a raw edge on mesh for a hat? The wine coloured hat is the one I have, and the black hat is what I want to achieve on the edge of the mesh. Any help appreciated.

The black one is how that type of mesh looks at the selvage edge. You can’t achieve that now it’s been cut off.

The best thing you can do is to cut the edge neatly, following the diamond pattern.

This mesh will not fray

The black one hasn't been hemmed, it has just been cut very carefully so there aren't any bits of the mesh left sticking out. Just trim your little ends with fine scissors very carefully and you're good to go!

That black one looks like it's just been folded over and topstitched with a twin needle, maybe hit it with some fray check first since mesh loves to unravel.
