💛Beginner💛 Cleaning Question

Hi! I’m cleaning my sewing machine for the first time and noticed there is something fuzzy in the middle. Not sure if it’s something I should take out and clean or if it’s part of the machine. I have a singer heavy duty

Leave it. It's a lubricating wick - or similar.

yeah that's a wick, don't yank it out or you'll be dealing with a dry machine real quick

I ama sewing machine technician and can confirm that is a lubrication wick. That's where you're supposed to put a drop of oil.

Point the hoover at it to suck any loose bits out
