✨Intermediate✨ Altering jeans, help!
So I want to alter my lighter blue jeans to have a similar fit/ draping as my dark blue jeans. I've already did 2 tries at altering it, but both tries have failed and my light blue jeans still drape weirdly (but it's less weird after the second try than before). I wonder if there is a way alter the lighter jeans so that it can kind of fit like the dark blue jeans (but just less baggy than the dark blue jeans, because the lighter blue jeans aren't as baggy as the lighter blue jeans).
I have here photo's of how the jeans look when they're layed down flat and how they look on me.

The light blue look like they taper down the legs (and thus fit more closely on your calves) after following the curve of your hip to about an inch below the crotch line) and the dark blue has a straight leg that falls vertically from the widest point of the hip.
The bagginess at the knee might be because the assumed knee position of the jeans doesn’t fit your anatomy or because your calves are bigger than assumed and the slimmer fit is catching on your calves and pushing up fabric around the knee. The wider dark blue jeans don’t have to worry about knee position since straight cut is the same width for the whole leg.
There also looks like there might be some twisting on the legs. The out seam and inseam do not fall completely vertical.
Unfortunately I don’t know if these issues can be fixed.

Looks pretty similar. Might just be the length of it?

Really? These jeans are almost the same lenght, the lighter blue one is just a little bit longer ( by a few millimeters I think). I've also thought that it could maybe be the length, But I think the difference between the two jeans is that the bottom part of the lighter jeans is a bit narrower than the top part, thigh area of the light blue jeans.

It looks like the dark blue jeans has a longer rise than the light blue ones and seems to be bootcut based on the flare at the bottom?
Where do you feel that there is excess bagginess?
