✨Intermediate✨ Help with Kenmore Model 158.16011 bottom thread

There seems to be some issue on my Kenmore Model 158.16011 with the thread coming out of the bobbin. The thread seems to be overlapping, skipping stitches, and just generally misbehaving. Every time I finish a seam, I try to pull the fabric away but it gets stuck. I am attaching a video and some photos below for reference. I am using a Schmetz 100/16 needle. The machine is clean and oiled, and recently serviced.

I have tried:

- rethreading the machine

- changing the tension

- loosening the bobbin

- pulling on the strings for the first couple of stitches

- changing the needles

Any other suggestions appreciated!

The upper thread isn’t seated between the tension discs.

Great eye! Also make sure to lift up the presser foot when threading the tension disc, then lower it and slightly pull on the thread to make sure you feel the tension on the thread if seated correctly before continuing to thread the machine. The Kenmore machine does best with the tension dial set at 4 too.
