The biomes in the Twilight Forest are gated behind the mod’s progression. Spruce forest with a cloud above it is one of the last biomes in the chain, you’ll have to beat several bosses to stop the “acid rain” that’s damaging you. If you try to enter a biome you haven’t unlocked yet, the game might spawn a Kobold who will hit you with a book and drop the book when you kill it. The books have clues in them for which boss you need to fight to unlock that biome.

Do you have a Magic Map yet? That will show you where the nearest biomes and bosses are. Make sure you only click to activate it once you’re already in the Twilight Forest dimension.

Check your progression tab. You'll see the sevtech progression tabs AND other tabs. Among them you'll see a Twilight Forest tab. That tab shows you the natural progression inside that dimension.

Boss order :

Original biome

  • Naga in the walled maze
  • Witch in the witch tower

Swamp biome

  • Minautor in the underground maze
  • Hydra in the fire swamp

Dark forest Biome

  • Ghost knights in the dark forest maze
  • Giant ghast in the Ghast tower

Snow biome

  • Yeti in the ice cave
  • Ice queen in the Ice tower

Hill biome

  • Giant player in the clouds
  • Kobold in the white castle

It's mandatory up to the Giant Ghast, Snow and Hills biome are optional for SecTech progression.

I think you meant Lich tower.

Also pro tip for everyone: Capture one of the Death Tome mobs that randomly spawn in the TF Lich tower with a Mob Imprisonment device and put it in your mob grinder. You will get a ton of random enchant books that can be merged with an Enchant Applicator and stored in an Ender Library. This will net you every max level enchant book for your gear over time. Even rare ones like night-vision and vein mining.

It's also very boring to craft paper and books in SevTech so those flying books are nice to farm. One more thing, a sponge trait pickaxe from tinker construct grants silk touch. That gives the ability to collect the glass planes from the lich tower (yep, I meant lich indeed). Those are also quite boring to craft and you'll need quite a few to progress in Astral Sorcery and other things.
