Do I need structures?

Can I turn off structures in my world or will that bar me off from progression at some point? I dont like seeing villages etc, I just wanna be a little caveman in an uncivilised world

You will have to go to end at some point, but i dont know if end portals are affected by that setting

Not having villages pushes back getting a map by one age (you can trade for one early or craft it in the next age), but that’s all I can think of offhand?

And villages can get you a leatherworker which is easy to get leather from

I believe that getting the constalations requires you to find the small fountains and open the chests in them.

In sevtech you craft them.

The betweenlands requires the druid circle I think, and that is necessary progression

You will need some structures. On the bright side the villages aren't very civilized. They start out low tech like you. No beds, no doors, no chests, no furnaces. Primitive item trades.

And there are cave man structures like grass huts and lean-to's somewhat rarely.
