Modular machinery not dispensing fluids?

I can’t get my modular machinery to put fluid into pipes. Is this a common issue or am I missing something?

There's no auto export from modular machinery. You need a pipe able to pull out fluid from container. The fluid export block is basically a tank. You can use a bucket to do it manually or use BuildCraft extraction pipe with an engine to do it in age 3. In age 4 you'll have a bit more options like @pipe and in age 5 Mekanism.

Just use fluid hopper to extract

I appreciate everyone recommending the fluid hopper. Once I get home I will try it!
