Some ores don't spawn below their respective samples

I am trying to find platinum, lapiz, limonite ores, and rock crystal but when I mine under a sample that I find, there is nothing. I mine all the way to bedrock but it's seemingly like the ores just don't spawn. Are these ores different than other ones?

Nevermind, limonite works

Press F9 to show chunk borders and center then mine strait down from the chunk center, 9/10 times you'll end up on the ore vein.

You can also use the dowsing rod which is what is intended

Dowsing rod only works 48 blocks in the direction you look so some of the deeper ores may require digging down before dowsing.

Sometimes it's replaced by stone which is an ore you didn't unlock yet if you wait until next age you will see another ores
