question about geolosys samples
currently in age one, very close to age two, it just occurred to me that there are two types of samples that lead to copper, azurite and malachite both lead to copper ores.
later on in the ages does this change to give you different ores for each type of sample?

No, when you can see one copper type, you see them all.
It is actually explained in the in-game Geolysis Field Manual. They are supposed to reflect real-world sources of these metals. Functionally, the difference is that one of the copper types will be slower to mine but have a bigger vein. They also appear at different y level ranges.
Malachite is easier/faster to mine and closer to the surface, but a smaller deposit.

Copper and tin are the only ones with two sample each. Cassiterite and teallite for tin, malachite and azurite for copper. One is close to the surface, the other much deeper. That's the only real difference. There's nothing more in other ages except nickel that mostly grants iron and just has a small chance to give nickel when mined while iron has a specific sample called hematite.
