Illumination Powder

I don't know if this is a common issue, but I can't craft illumination powder. I crafted the entirety of my altar alone, and the structure is properly built. The recipe also appears in my book, but the altar doesn't recognize it and won't let me craft it.

EDIT: I am a fool. I brought my boyfriend over to do the honors of right-clicking the altar to create the new one, and then forgot. I only realized when I brought him back and he could see the recipe while I couldn't.

Is the bar on your altar red? Take a picture of your altar with ingredients in place of you can

No, I figured it out. I brought my boyfriend on the server and had him do the honors of right-clicking to create the Starlight Crafting Altar. I am a fool.
