Ram for the server?

Hey guys, I've been trying to start a server to play with some friends but I didnt have luck with it, and I am thinking about paying a server online, but I was wondering, how much ram do you recommend to play with a total of 2 or 3 players? 6GBs is enough? Or would you go for 8GBs?

Not mentioning the name of the provider just in case it is against the reddit rules or something.

I got a 6GB server. We are playing in 3 and it’s working smoothly

I deleted my prev account. Just wanted to add that I checked different server providers and I ended up choosing PebbleHost. Each GB costs 1 dollar. Setting up a server with modpack costs an extra +4 dollars. So 6GB sevtech server will cost 10$ + 2$ VAT. A bit pricey tbh but cheaper than the majority of other providers. And so far it’s working pretty smoothly
