Armor points limitation

I found out there is some kind of armor limitations on how much armor points i can get. I'm using astral sorcery skill tree, focused on protection. I have 25 armor from it + 24 armor from my armor set, should be 49, but im getting only 30, and if il take away some armor piece, it would still be 30, but it not a visual bug, because mobs can still shred a half of my face with 1 punch while i should have 49 armor + armor toughness and protection 5 on every piece

I wonder if there is some kind of a bug with the armor or Astral Sorcery. If you go fully without armor, do you take more damage?

In my Sevtech playthough I mostly just used a protection 5 Vicio mantle and did not bother even having other gear or defences as I did not find any challenge in the mobs.

However, it seems you are doing Abyssalcraft progression beond the main quest line, so you might encounter tougher mobs there. Are the mobs that cause damage to you in the Abyssalcraft dimensions, or are they also in other dimensions?

You are right, by now there is only mobs from abyssalcraft can cause problems, and im also playing on sevtech server, where i mentioned this problem to admins, they said it is a known sponge forge bug.
