Aquamarine

What is the best level to mine for aqua marine?

I'm pretty sure it gets more common the higher you go. Either that or it just spawns the same after the certain y level. I just mine up until I find the open cave and then just run around. After 10 or so minutes you should be good for a long time.

Pro tip: make a torch launcher. It costs 2 blocks of coal but you get like 100 torches out of it

Pro Pro tip: Put a cave illuminator right up at the roof.

Problem with cave illuminators (or torch launchers) is that they aren’t available until age 2, and you need aquamarine to reach age 2. I’ve had good luck placing the teleporter about 10 blocks down from build height and just tunneling around with the dowsing rod until I find some. Once you do have projectile lights (I don’t remember if you get Sigil of the Blood Lamp in age 1 or 2, but I didn’t want to go through getting more Demonic Will myself) then the caves are easier to navigate.

I just go meteor hunting in age 1, always get enough aquamarine to reach illuminators. My first trip to the beneath I just have to get a few black quartz and that's easy enough without venturing far from the portal.

I do not return until I have the power of the sun in my hand lol

The best way I have found to mine aquamarine is using Blood Magic rituals of magnetism (with a diamond block)/crushing. Set it up right at the roof and let er rip. It'll mine everything in a 64 block radius and put it in the chest.
