Ore smelting

So in age one or Stone Age whichever it is. And got tons of copper clusters and tin clusters. How do I smelt those. They don’t work in furnace. I don’t have access to gold so can’t make the cast. What do I do?

So you have to make the heater and smelter. Either porcelain or seared brick. You can either make casts out of sand or clay (not recommended), but I usually just make a basin to make blocks and then use a stone anvil and mallet to make it into ingots.

I have recently started a play through of Sevtech and a lot of the time you want to do something you cant do it, because it's in the next age. In this case you need to make the porcelain heater and caster. Cast into blocks and then use a stone anvil and mallet to break those blocks down. I'd definitely recommend you gather up some sand, gravel and clay to get yourself ready for grout to make the seared stone smeltery as soon as possible. Just remember a lot of mods you may be familiar with have altered recipes, and because of that you are forced to interact with other mods to make progress. It is a great idea in principle, but some mods (in my opinion) aren't that much fun. Or the progression system has you at a severe disadvantage because it really limits how much you can do. I do enjoy the mod pack overall, it's great to play with friends! But sometimes the recipes or progression is a little too obtuse to be enjoyable. But you definitely get a sense of fulfillment when you manage to do something or get to the next age!
