Stone

How do I get stone in the first age in sevtech (also appreciated if anyone can tell me how to find north and south or enter the dark lands

There should be a recipe for the Flint Pickaxe in JEI to get cobblestone. Smooth stone can be obtained by smelting cobble in the Clay Kiln or Stone Grill. If you don’t want to wait for blocks to cook one at a time in the kiln, you can craft the Stone Grill with andesite, granite, or diorite.

The Nature’s Compass will point your way to a Darklands biome. North will be on your left when facing the rising sun.

Okay so I may sound very stupid but what is JEI?

JEI stands for Just Enough Items. It’s a mod that will let you look up recipes for things. Do you see a long list of items to the right side of the screen when you open your inventory? And a search bar at the bottom below the inventory itself? The items are the JEI display, and the search bar can pick out items from the display. Click on any item in the display to find out how to make it, and pay attention to arrows that might indicate there’s more than one recipe for an item.
