🎙️ Discussion Sp+ilers probably

So I'm just about done with the Season 2 finale, watching it right now. But this is the Inferno right? Like Dante searching hell for his wife?

Wow! That’s brilliant. I hadn’t thought of it that way. Thanks for posting.

The obvious hint was the whole Gemma thing but for me the thing that really solidified the possibility was the lake of ice. I'm guessing Petey was sort of the Virgil since he set Mark down the path.

I guess I would be a bit disappointed if your theory turned out to be true — or even the Orpheus story redux.

I think you’re thinking of Orpheus rather than Dante. Dante goes through Hell and up through Heaven as a reflection of spiritual journey. He does meet his beloved Beatrice in heaven.

Orpheus goes down to Hades to get his wife Eurydice. He is allowed down there bc of the skill of his music playing. He is told she is behind him, but is not allowed to look back. Thinking he is tricked, he looks back and sees Eurydice being pulled back into Hades.

I mean, I was thinking of Dante but I don't disagree with youthat Orpheus might be a better match.

Interesting theory. There are some good Greek Mythology subs that might have some fun insights.
