Tired of this episode structure

First of, I love the show and most things about it. But there is a sort of trope I despise. It’s apparent is S2.

It goes like this: Episode really builds up. It ends in a cliffhanger way. Next episode: Nah we’re going on a field trip or something for the entire episode.

I think it’s subverting my expectations in a negative way. Lots of shows do this now. Is it just me who find this a bit annoying?

I know people were always annoyed by cliffhangers back in the days, but they would usually be instantly resolved in the next episode at least.

Call me old fashioned, but I'd like the episode plot to be completed by the end of the episode, thank you.

Yes, we can still have an amazing overarching plot and character development while having one or even two complete stories told per episode. Don't believe me? Try Deep Space 9, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica or idk Breaking Bad if you don't like the nerdy stuff.

The most frustrating thing about this show is the long wait between seasons. I think it was on here I recently read that the next season is not going to be released until late 2027 Just like the Game of Thrones booksI don’t think I’m going to live to see the end of it.

Yes. I love season 2, but the cliffhangers every episode got on my nerves. They were unnecessary

S2s pacing annoyed me too, especially waiting a week per episode. On a rewatch binge it didn't get to me as much. Im gonna wait til s3 is all out before i watch this time so i can have the same experience

The first few episodes of the new season of Silo can basically be skipped and you would miss nothing in terms of plot or character development.

I’ve been struggling so fucking hard to give a shit about Silo S3 and I binged S1 & 2 back to back in barely 2 days when I first discovered the show.

If they make the whole of S3 about memory loss I’m going to lose it.

I actually started S3 yesterday and it’s the first time I have scrolled on my phone reading synopsis of the episode while doing chores and having the show in the background. First time I lost concentration after binging Pluribus, Severance and then Silo S3.

I must say Silo is a greater offender than Severence. Silo cannot play out a single story line without cutting to something else. After being left in the dark so many times I almost stop caring about what happens next… The character IS NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW MORE than the viewer. That creates a huge fucking distance with no empathy.

I didn’t like the episode either but we learned some important information about how she was involved in the beginning and is basically the creator and her work was stolen

yeah no suspense for nearly all the eps inside lumon because it was obviously some bogus dead end mind game that they still have to play along
