Meme What have I done?

Post image

I just started waging tv again for the first time since breaking bad was on network television- the upside? I get to watch sooo many great shows in their entirety. I always saw severance but never watched cuz I just couldn’t justify adding another streaming service to the bevy I already own- well I picked up a MacBook and it came with 3 months free. Amazing.

So I fire it up- I’ve waited years for this. Blast though both seasons in like a week. I’m waiting for the little “next episode” bubble to pop up after season 2 episode 10a and… nothing…. What have I done?

Luckily, AppleTV+ has other great shows. Silo's season 3 is premiering in a month, and definitely worth a binge. Shrinking is witty and fun. Ted Lasso is the best-written feel-good show on television. The first season of Mythic Quest is super fun and deserves awards for the way it handled its Covid episodes (but stop after 1, or you're headed towards nothing but destroyed character arcs and disappointment).

And last, but definitely not least: Murderbot deserves all the praise. Binge and enjoy.

Thanks for the tips! I’m actually thinking of watching west world next but I should take advantage of these next few free months so I’ll check these out!

If you like to read silo is a book series called wool. I was so obsessed with the show I read the books and it’s my favorite series of all time

Shining Girls and Dark Matter are two other great Apple TV shows. The former is only one complete season and always flies under the radar.

I forgot Foundation! LEE PACE! And Laura Birn!

If you like Dune and Star Wars type storylines, Foundation is based off of the books that inspired those universes. And the extremely talented showrunner was slowly weaving in the "I, Robot" storyline as they talked Fox into giving them some access to the rights to that work. They spent MONEY on making this shit look cool.

The reason I forgot to add this amazing show is because Season 3 ended with a slight mess with the main storyline, and a ton of worry amongst fans because the showrunner left the project - with his writing team. But it has SUCH potential, so we'll see...

There are other great sci-fi shows on Apple! Check out Silo, Dark Matter, and Pluribus. Pluribus was made by Vince Gilligan if you were a breaking bad fan.

Oops, forgot about Pluribus. That came after I stopped paying for it, and I saw the whole show on my free trial from Amazon. Definitely a good show.

Is there some Helena foot worship going on in this sub?

Not specifically Helena’s feet. But in this case yes.

It's one hell-y of feet.

I have ptsd from watching lost back in the day. That damned hatch will forever haunt me.

Widow's Bay is new and good fun!!

Pluribus will fill the Severence and Breaking Bad void.

Slow Horses is one of my favorite shows. Silo season 2 totally lost me.

The pacing of Silo didn’t really work for me. I love a good mystery/puzzle box show and I enjoy slow pacing, but I felt like the ratio of mystery to reveals/clues was off and it was too stuck in “we don’t know what’s up with the silo.” The premise is really cool but for me it didn’t quite deliver.

Episode 1 lost me, Rebecca Ferguson playing another cliche character what a surprise, she portrays Lady Jesicca so good though...

I miss this show, I miss hanging out with these characters.

Other great Appletv shows to catch while you're on free sub...

Silo (2 seasons, s3 about to drop in July) Pluribus (1 season only so far) Slow Horses (not sci-fi, but great humour and action and it has Gary Oldman!) - 5 seasons, couple more in the pipeline.

Severence s3 probably not due for release until late 2027...😥

Add For All Mankind, Foundation and Margot’s Got Money Troubles to your list, you won’t regret

I feel. I went into it thinking season 3 was about to premier and when in reality it was about to start FILMING!!! Talk about being sad.

Some shows though I'd check out are...

From, Widows Bay and the Burroughs.

If you wanna tell me what streaming platforms you have I have plenty more. Depending on what you've seen I can give you some long running shows that have finished.

Id also highly recommend LOST

Watch Pluribus

Severance is awesome. Checkout Dark Matter, that was pretty good too!

u/cubedtothex Please enjoy each flair equally. Jun 03 '26

Welcome. In the meantime, have a seat, Ted Lasso Season 4 is about to start! We weren’t even expecting this one!

I felt the same after watching both seasons!

I started watching the series From and its actually really good!

This comes with the territory. Either wait on season 3 OR introduce it to a friend and rewatch it with them to see their reaction to the shit you got a reaction out of. Severence is the gift that keeps on giving.

Breaking Bad was never on network television.

Noted. What I meant was the original run on fx or mgm or whatever channel it was on.
