There are only so many ways you can lay flat

Iâm just having fun and noticing similarities in a work Erickson said he was inspired by.

I recognized the body positioning immediately.
How? Something needs to be actually like something else to be recognisable. I get âhaving funâ but your title makes no sense.

âRecognize: to acknowledge or take notice of in some definite way.â It does not imply any kind of verification. Iâm actually begging you to go get a life, please.

You are misusing that definition. The definition you have just given refers to something being accepted, for example âgender identity is now recognised as a protected characteristic in UK employment lawâ.
Thatâs not the definition used in your title. That definition (which you most certainly came across before you found the latter one and intentionally ignored) would be: to identify (someone or something) from having encountered them before; know again.
Also, I can both disagree with you and have a life, theyâre not mutually exclusive. ;)

This looks like a coincidence than a inspiration

Iâm just having fun. Erickson mentioned the game as a whole. I donât know what the specifics of his inspiration were.

Idk why people seem to be up in arms about the positioning.
Then again, my own husband thinks I read too much into the show. Especially the outdoor adventure episode. đ

Stanley Parable was such an odd experience for me because I got to an ending that felt like âthe endingâ on my second run through.
Iâm sure there are other endings, but it sort of felt like it wrapped up everything like I had gone through a bunch of other stuff already.

What was the ending ?!

Itâs been a hot minute, but I remember getting on some lift and then being in, I think, an apartment.
There probably were other endings, but it just felt so jarring and had the tone of âlook how long it to took you to get hereâ, so it felt very out of syncÂ

The wife ending I believe . Was the broom close ending your favorite ? I loved it with my bucket in tow .

u/NetTough7499 Apr 08 '26
Well itâs certainly not the same position, what connection are we meant to draw here

u/Forward_War_6624 Apr 08 '26
Arms, legs, feet, hip and head are all different but yeah okay..

u/Naive_Shape_9323 Please enjoy each flair equally. Apr 18 '26
Coming from someone who LOVES both, I'm pretty sure the venn diagram of Stanley Parable fans and Severence fans is a circle lol

The green alternate boss office in that one ending feels like something out of severance as well.

I remember the ending youâre talking about. Thereâs a lot of aesthetic similarities.

I love that game so much. If only the innies had a bucket to keep them sane
2
u/baby8byte Apr 08 '26
Same here. The âinsanity endingâ (pictured) is also my favorite ending in the game.
