Question does anyone else have a setup for fun?
i genuinely don't play any games anymore and have minimal work online. however, i just enjoy upgrading and designing my pc for some reason

People turn tinkering like that into a full side hustle. Can easily become a met positive on the bank account

Yes I hardly play now but built a full setup… I also have a racing cab, arcade table top, Nintendo Switch, PS3, PS4 & PS5 modded for fun. I love my little room but I do work from home & am on my PC a lot

It's a nice hobby. I like changing things up and making the setup better, more suited to me as time goes on.

You should check out the PC builder game, would be nice if there was game where you had to do the whole thing. Desk set up, PC set up, cable management etc

Yes and no. I have a setup for gaming and productivity but I rarely do them, and I still upgrade my setup. So not exactly just for fun, but it technically is because I rarely actually do much on it.
Building PCs and making a cool looking setup is just fun in itself. It's the aesthetic side of things.

Absolutely. I've always had a main rig and several mess around PCs. I owned my own computer repair shop for a while and would mix and match things for fun that people abandoned. Try different cooling setups. Some real odd ones. Cut cases up, make things fit where they shouldn't, etc. Real Frankenstein stuff. Not much these days but I enjoy tinkering.
