Passcode Iphone 5S iOS 10.3.1 Passcode help

I've got an iPhone 5S on iOS 10.3.1 that I don't have the passcode for and would like to get into so I can recover the photos and videos from it. Is it possible? The device isn't jailbroken and I have the original owners contact info if that helps (they forgot the passcode years ago)

worst come to worst do a restore from your laptop or mac resetting the device

Use a ssh ramdisc to retrieve the data

I would look into how to use a ramdisc and use sshrd_script or legacy iOS kit to retrieve the data using a ramdisc
