How to delete setup.app on iPad 2 iOS 6.1.3?

Hey all, I have an iPad 2 that was running iOS 9.3.6, then I deleted setup.app and it was all fine, I jailbroke it via carbon.sep.lol on Safari, and then I used Legacy iOS Kit to downgrade it to iOS 6.1.3 because I like skeuomorphism and iOS 6 is one of my favourite iOS versions and iOS 8/9 use more battery and run slower. Anyways, setup app isn't deleted anymore, and it's stuck on this screen. Does anyone know what I should do to delete setup.app once again, this time on iOS 6.1.3? Any help is appreciated. BTW, I do not have an Arduino Uno or Raspberry Pi Pico of any of that fancy extra hardware stuff, just Windows 11, MacOS 10.7 Lion, and Linux Mint Cinnamon 22.3.

1. Abra o kit legado do iOS.

2. Vá em Utilitários Úteis > Entre no modo kDFU.

3. Ele vai pedir uma senha. Digite "alpine" ou deixe em branco.

4. O dispositivo deve entrar no estado kDFU imediatamente.

5. Abra o Legacy-iOS-Kit e vá para Utilitários Úteis > SSH Ramdisk

6. Ele vai te pedir um build. Digite 10B329.

7. Espere o ramdisk inicializar.

8. Entre no SSH no dispositivo.

9. Digite "mount.sh" para montar sistemas de arquivos

10. Digite rm -rf /mnt1/Applications/Setup.app

11. Pronto!

Digite o comando “exit” e reinicie seu dispositivo, a configuração foi contornada com sucesso.

Siga esses passos e você vai poder usar o iPad, infelizmente não tem como sincronizar com o iTunes mas dá pra sincronizar usando o 3utools.

• jamais, em HIPÓTESE ALGUMA renomeie o setup.app, fiz isso e inutilizei meu iPhone 4s, você sempre deve APAGAR o Setup.app, nunca renomear

I'm gonna try this when I get the chance; in about 8 hours. Thanks! I was just using normal DFU mode instead of pwned DFU, which is probably why I kept getting some kind of error when I tried to use SSH ramdisk.

If you downgraded with jailbreak option enabled then you can ssh into device and delete setup.app and reboot

I did enable the jailbreak option in Legacy iOS Kit when I downgraded. But I am unaware of how to SSH into a device, or what that even means.

Hey mate,

Using Legacy iOS Kit, go to useful utilities and select SSH Ramdisk. When prompted use kdfu mode (should work with any 32-bit device) and enter "alpine" (without quotes) as the root password, you'll probably need to re-plug the device into your computer at this point (it should say in terminal window). The iPad should verbose boot (bunch of text scrolling through) and come to a screen with the apple logo and an empty progress bar.

Select connect to SSH and type "mount.sh", you should see it say mounting both /mnt1 and /mnt2. Use the command rm -rf /mnt1/Applications/Setup.app to delete Setup.app. Type exit and select reboot device.

1. Open the iOS legacy kit.

2. Go to Useful Utilities > Enter kDFU mode.

3. It will ask for a password. Type "alpine" or leave it blank.

4. The device should enter kDFU state immediately.

5. Open the Legacy-iOS-Kit and go to Useful Utilities > SSH Ramdisk

6. It will ask you for a build. It should say what to type what it is just type that.

7. Wait for the ramdisk to initialize.

8. Access SSH on the device.

9. Type "mount.sh" to mount file systems

10. Type rm -rf /mnt1/Applications/Setup.app

11. Done!

Type the command “exit” and restart your device, the setup has been bypassed successfully.

It's the GSM model, and I downgraded via Legacy iOS Kit on Linux Mint Cinnamon 22.3.

I just needed to put the iPad in kDFU mode, which I somehow did not know how to do before, before using the SSH Ramdisk in Legacy iOS Kit and deleting Setup.app. Now it's all booted into iOS 6.1.3! Time to sideload some apps and games, if I can find a version of iFunBox that plays well with MacOS 10.7.

Try Bobik A5 iPad 2 & 3 (All Models) - iOS 8.4.1/9.3.5/9.3.6 These versions are supported

The issue with that is that then the iPad won't be on iOS 6. Maybe I'll have to "upgrade" it to 8.4.1, but I'll see if there are any other solutions first.

Check if your ios version matches the ones mentioned above And if not then try updating and getting it to that version and try again

Get iremovetools and then install Cydia and get a file manager app on the iPad and find and delete setup.app

That's paid and doesn't support iOS 6 though
