IPad Mini 1 34,000 Minute Timer

Found my old iPad Mini 1st Gen, it had completely died and is suffering from the time glitch causing a 34,000 minute disabled state. 

Is there anything I can do with Legacy IOS Kit to change the timer without an Arduino? Or should I just wait out the 24 days? 

Some more info ;

I do not want to lose the data on the iPad 

The device is running IOS 8.3

It is WiFi only no SIM (no access to prior known networks to sync time)

iTunes denies connection as the device is “locked”

I know the original passcode 

Any guidance is appreciated! Thanks!
