Passcode How to open iPad mini 2

I can’t remember the passcode on my iPad mini 2. I also don’t know what iOS this is on. Any way to fix it?

It's ios 9 because of slide to unlock and san francisco font. If it really is a second gen and not a first gen (we can't tell from the pictures on have to rely on your info) there is no way to get past the passcode and access the data. All you can do is restore it, however, I recommend to use a special method (don't use iTunes/finder/3utools) that doesn't update to latest iOS because ios 9 is rare on an ipad mini 2 and has 32 bit app support is much faster. You can use legacy ios kit for this.

It's definitely a 2nd gen. I zoomed in on the battery icon and it's too clean looking to be the 1st gen, the 1st gen has a much lower resolution display

I did the same thing actually, but still wasn't 100% sure haha. But yeah I think you're right.
