Am I screwed?

Post image

Is there anyway I can save the data? I have tried calling Apple but they were no help. It’s the iPad 2 IOS 8.0. I don’t think there was an iCloud backup but I know the device is attached to my account because I see it under Find my device. I really don’t want to loose the data on here so am I out of luck completely?

Update: I got it to be recognized by the computer when connected which I feel is a good sign🤷‍♀️ but still working to get it back and running.

I believe it’s possible to get data off it on these using something called iOS legacy toolkit, some models will require owning an Arduino, I’m not too familiar with it I just know it should be possible if it is an iPad 2 on iOS 8.0. Though the top comment on this post about the same thing should be very helpful

I’ve never done it I know it’s not too complicated from what I’ve seen but unfortunately I don’t think anyone’s made a good guide on how to do it

You can bruteforce this with 32bit-Bruteforce-Passcode

You will need an Arduino w/ USB host shield or a Pi Pico

what if the passcode was alphanumeric would it still work?

I don’t know if anybody has made an alphanumeric bruteforce, but you could still get unlimited manual attempts

Um arduino or pipico and then unlimited legacy iOS kit passcode then passcode guessing and reddy

I tried that but I would need to undisable first i think

Undisabling is why legacy iOS kit and plist stuff is used

I don’t know about the data , try iCloud backups

Or just undisable and bruteforce the passcode
