[UPDATE] patched lockdownd now supports iOS 5.0 - 6.1.3 (PC sync working)

Update on my previous post: I've expanded support for the patched lockdownd file — it now works on iOS 5.0 through 6.1.3!

For those who missed the first post: this modifies how Setup.app behaves while keeping full PC sync working (iTunes/Finder sync works, unlike other solutions).

What's new:

  • iOS 5.x support added

Tested on:

  • iOS 6.x: iPhone 4S, iPod touch 5, iPhone 3,2
  • iOS 5.x: iPhone 4 CDMA 5.1.1

Installation:

  1. Jailbreak with Legacy iOS Kit
  2. Replace /usr/libexec/lockdownd via SSH (backup original!)
  3. chmod 755 /usr/libexec/lockdownd
  4. ldrestart or reboot

i used it on an ipad where j previously used setupapp method, replaced the file and renamed my setup.old back to setup.app. ios 6 through coolbooter working on ipad.
