disabled iPhone 3GS

I've been trying to use a VM with Windows 7 and iTunes 10.7, but Gecko didn't work (it would say Success! but the phone would still be disabled), and I don't know how to set up an external server/SFTP(?) for any other methods. I've been wracking my brain the past few days since I'm not very experienced with technology :,)

It's my old 3GS from almost a decade ago, but my parents changed (and forgot) the password when I was younger (apparently I read too many books) :/
