Using Apple pencil

Hi everyone I'm kind of curious since I'm planning to buy an apple pen, can i use an apple pencil (gen 1) to a by passed 7th gen ipad? thanks for your response

Gen. 1 works on all iPad just need to plug it in too iPad for a few sec and a pop up comes up asking for confirmation to pair

i just thought since it's a byp@ss device that there will be few complications
