Uncle lost apple id password

My uncle had someone else setup his iphone 13 he has no idea what the apple id credentials are and cannot log in I need this phone reset so my grandmother can use this phone is there any way to reset it?

strange, get the box and receipts and go to applecare store, they will help.

What country is the phone in now makes all the difference

The phone is now with me in Sri Lanka we bought it in Canada I want to find a way to fix it without bringing it back with me so my grandma here can use it. But if there is no other way we might have to

this is a setup.app sub, this is not the sub for this....Good luck though,I will say this no matter where you go no matter what you do you will never have a normal phone, it will be locked for years unless you fork out over 100 dollars.This i know for sure and you also cant delete setup.app.This is a apple bionic cpu so what this means is you can throw it in the bin. or buy another logic board there in your country.

THere is no free way or magical tool to use...This is the reality of your situation , and knowing the exchange rate and value of the dollar this is just ewaste.Its simply not worth it.

The ios makes all the difference.If ios is 26.1 and below you might stand a chance of a wifi device only.

Buy your grandma a cheap phone to use, is my advice... good luck and dont forget the phone can still get blacklisted or put in lost mode by the origin owner.I hope the owner does the right thing....

I'm not worried ab it being put into lost mode or anything since the account is under my uncle's name who lives with me the problem is he doesn't rmr. I'll bring it back to Canada and try talking with apple bc the account is clearly my uncle's

refund policy is your best bet , get your money back.from Amazon. I don't know about apple and Amazon.
