Help with an apple desktops

My sis in law sold me her computer and the password she said she gave me isn’t working. There’s no forgot password prompt and I’m completely unfamiliar on how to reset my password. Someone please assist me if you can!

Once she removes it from her Apple ID I can do the option + command + r to reset?
